My fellow MA Contemporary Art & Archaeology graduates and I held a two-week exhibition of our project work at the wonderful Northlight Gallery in Stromness, Orkney. A theme in each of our projects was working with materials which we might normally consider to have no agency. The title of the exhibition reflected our belief that not only living things can shape the world. As part of the exhibition, I held a workshop to create "One Step At A Time', with gallery visitors stamping their name on cards and soaking them in coloured brine. The method reflected my project process, continually taking small steps to reach a larger goal. Diane and I even got to appear on BBC Radio Orkney's arts programme.
